Hi all,
Think I know the answer here but jsut want to check. Have a customer who is a 24/7 operation who use Extension Mobility. They are upgrading from 6.X to 8.X and moving to VMware which I will be doing at two seperate times.
Q1: When doing a L2 Upgrade the EM users who are logged in whilst the upgrade is running will then be logged in after the switch version even if they have logged out and another user has logged into same phone? Yes / No?
Q2: When taking a DRS backup to migrate to VMware the EM users who are logged in when the backup is taken will then be logged in after the switch version even if they have logged out and another user has logged into same phone? Yes / No?
Thanks
Russell

The asnwer is YES to both. The phone will display the users logged in as at the time the backup was taking or at the time the upgrade was done.

Hi Russell,
You may also find it usefull to have the ability to export and import the Extension Mobility login state for the cluster, just in-case, or even just to buy you some time for performing the upgrade.
Our product PhoneView from UnifiedFX has a whole host of features, one of them is the ability to export/import login state and bulk login (or out) Extension Mobility users.
Also,
As you are upgrading to 8.x make sure you take care not to get hit with any ITL Issues, as a minimum make sure you do NOT have the Settings Menu set to Restricted/Disabled before the upgrade. Otherwise it's a factory reset to clear out the ITL File, if you do have the Settings Menu as Enabled then you can use PhoneView to find and fix any phones with ITL Issues.
Thanks
