Extension mobility emergency dialing

We have a single cluster hosting multiple sites with EM enabled for all users. All external calls including emergency calls are routed out a SIP trunk hosted in a central datacenter. There are no local gateways at any site.

As a result when EM users travel between different sites and dial emergency numbers it causes a problem as their calling number is from their home site.

I can't really see a solution to this, has anybody any experience of this issue?

Additionally, customers with a small number of sites can use the Emergency Call Handler in CUCM 11.0+ as a very basic CER alternative. It will only get as granular as the Device Pool but that is often sufficient in areas where there are no E911 laws.

You could try device mobility to block those calls, or this would be more of a user education scenario and you'd need to explain them to not use 911 or call from other local device

You need CER or RedSky to route 911 calls based on switchport or IP subnet instead.
