External Phone Mask

Hi all

I'm running CM6.1

If I set the external phone mask on a line it shows up on the black strip of the phone screen. Is there a was to set the external phone mask but NOT have it show up on the phone? I just want the extension number on the black strip.

Hi,

If all the phones have the same external mask you can set it on the route list calling party transformations.  If you've got several ranges, then you should just configure the transformation on the H.323 gateway.

only a handfull of users need the external mask out of >100 so I can't do it the easy way

Unfortunately you cannot hide it on the phone once you configure it at the device level.
