Hi Team,
Not sure whether I am running through any problem or it is normal behaviour.
Customer is complaining that when they call another extension, if the other end party do not picks up the call, the case would not (automatically) disconect immediately. Instead they will hear fast busy tone for 30 seconds then the call will disconnect. Is there a way to reduce this time?
Scenario: Extension 1000 and 2000 both are registered to same CUCM.
1000 dials 2000. call rings on 2000 and it will disconnect after the busy trigger. Same time the status in extension 1000 changes to fast busy tone for 30 seconds before it disconnect.
Please help if this can be solved.

Siraj

Hi Siraj,
This is not normal. What is the call forward busy destination set for extension 2000? Try and remove any call forward busy settings for called party ( 2000 ) and make a test call. The call should disconnect immediately after the ringing timer expires. If it still takes 30 seconds to disconnect this share the cucm version , phone models and firmware involved and callmanager service trace for a test call.

I did two type of tests.
1. Enabled callforward busy to vmail but selected none as voicemail profile. At this state, after no answer ring duration call got disconnected on the called phone. But fast busy tone on the calling phone.
2. Removed all call forwarding. At this state call will never disconnect. Keep on ringing even after no answer ring duration.
Calling number: 1531
called number: 2434
Please find the attached logs.

Hi,
I think you need to look at call forward no answer setting. Probably, the call is being forwarded to unreachable destination.
