Hi,

I have enabled network fault tolerance on my CUC and CCM Servers, i thought after enabling the network fault tolerance the server would change the mac address to Virtual mac address which indeed it may affect the licenses.

But after enabling fault tolerance and restarting the server also i didn't see any change in the MAC ID. Its the same MAC ID.

Pls advice.

Regards

Jagadish G

Hi Jagadish,

After u enable NFT, MAC address is counted for NIC1 only

.

As far as licenses are concerned, it works with NIC1 MAC after NFT is enabled.

Thanks for the update, Great....

Hi,

One more doubt, after enabling the NFT, i am seeing in Bond 0 the Mode is Auto Disabled and speed it shows as 100MB/s.

It there any way to make ti 1000 and Auto enabled ??

Pls suggest.

Hi Jagadish,

do u get the option of 1000 MB/s  when u configure set network nic eth0  speed ? can u check?

secondly, Bond 0 would be showing Auto disabled which cannot be changed.

Can u share snapshot of show netowrk failover?

Hi,

In eth0 and eth1 am seeing mode auto enabled and 1000MB/s by default i didn't do any thing.

Hi Jagadish,

Since auto negotitation is enabled, that is the reason it shows duplex as full and and speed as 1000MB/s.what is the setting u have configured on switch?

But I won't be able to comment why it shows 100MB/s in Bond0.
