You can try fooling around with T.37 but I would recommend against it.

The correct way to do this is with Sagem-Interstar Xmedius Fax. Everyone who uses this product loves it. You can run it on an AXP blade within an ISR or on a x86 server. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the Cisco (Captaris RightFax) product. It is horrible by comparison to Xmedius.

I'll tell you now that single-number for fax/voice is problematic. You have to do it through a TCL script on the voice gateway. It's messy, not perfect, and adds delay for anyone trying to call and speak with the individual. Save yourself a lot of hassle and just buy the additional DIDs.

Here are the TCL scripts if you want to look into T.37 or the single number for faxing:

Hi,

If I have not overlooked anything (and that is possible) you want be able to do it just with Cisco and GW - you do not have t.37 as an option in your configuration. Seek fo 3rd party solution - and you can try us or other foip product with such functionality - some examples:

Feel free to ask me any question.

Hi,

I agree with the Jonathan, T.37 is an option if you can not use something else. It works but it has its disadvantages.

We are also in business as RightFax and Xmedius. So you should consider also our product - www.2ring.com/netfax - it just works. Find the best solution that suits your clients needs, and save them their $.

If you want to have price points and requirements, just let me know.

Regards

Jiri

BTW I am leading development of this product, so you can ask me even more about it.
