Forcing Caller ID Name on CUCM 8.x

Hey everybody,

I have a QSIG trunk between a 3rd party PBX and Call Manager.  Works fine but the 3rd party PBX is only sending caller ID number. Is there a way to program Call Manager so that when 5555 comes across the QSIG trunk from the other PBX a particular name gets associated with that number and displayed?  The best solution would be the ability to program unique names for every number.

The answer to that is NO. You need to get the PBX to send the Caller Name. There is no way you match CLI to Name in CUCM

Hi Scott,

If you could provide the name/model/version release for the 3rd party PBX perhaps

we could help find some inter-op notes or QSIG hints to get this working.
