I have Call Manager v7.1.3 and a Cisco 2811 router running IOS 124-15. Right now we have moved to eFax as our faxing solution since the copiers we are using just kept cutting off the faxes. To forward the internal number to efax I went onto line one for the fax machine phones in Call Manager and said Forward all to efax. That just does not seem to work and we get som eof the same flakyness.
What I wouldlike to do is see if I can perform the forward right from the router and pull Call Manager out of the picture. It looks like it can be done, but I am not sure how to do it. I would like to do the following:
Forward 630-787-2383 to 630-555-1234. How would I do this on the router? Or is there a different way in call manager?
I am trying to have the number transferred directly to efax, but that will take 45 days.
help would be appreciated!
Dave

Are you using MGCP or H.323?
With the first you can't do anything on the router.

Crap. Thats right. I knew there was a reason why I did not do this a couple months ago when I initially tried this. If only Icould have remembered. Thanks much.
Now to see if there is a better way in Call Manager to do this.

You can always upgrade to the better protocol.
Is not like you loose anything in doing that.
Thanks for the nice rating and god luck!
