Hi,

We have UC520 with CME and a VIC2-4FXO, when someone try call to CME, always the signal is busy, on this moment there is no calls incomming to router,
In details:
If Someone make a call on Voice-port 0/1/1, Phone ringing on ext.206 If I pickup call on 206 that time All is going well but if doesn't pickup call on 206 then it forward to my mobile. But after Hang up running call, it's doesn't disconnect (As in a call comes in and is then not disconnected on completion) & I found both voice-port (Voice-port 0/1/0 ) & (Voice-port 0/1/1 ) is showing engaged(busy) & Off-hook.
it's showing off-hook until reset both voice ports

This is a common problem with analogue lines, it happens when you do either a transfer or call forward to an external number when you receive a call on the PSTN lines.

If a shut then no shut on the port does not bring it up then the only other option is to reload the system to clear the locked ports.

Cheers,

David.

There is a frequency used with the FXO port to allow it detect the Disconnect signal,

you need to find out what is the frequency then apply it on your voice port :

Ex for one of my FXO port :

voice class dualtone-detect-params 1
freq-max-deviation 25
freq-max-power 0
freq-min-power 13
freq-power-twist 4
cadence-variation 4
!
voice class custom-cptone JORDAN
dualtone disconnect
  frequency 415 425
  cadence 500 500

voice-port 0/3/1
supervisory disconnect dualtone pre-connect
supervisory custom-cptone JORDAN
supervisory dualtone-detect-params 1
input gain 14
compand-type a-law
cptone JO
timeouts interdigit 3
timeouts call-disconnect 2
timeouts ringing 5
timeouts wait-release 1
timing hookflash-out 500
connection plar opx 111299

Hi Ahmad,

How can we know these frequency values. Can you help

Location in Saudi Arabia

Regards,

Ali

Hi Ali,

Well, as beginning you have to try using the cptone SA under the voice port , some times it work:

voice-port 0/3/1

cptone sa

if does not work, then you have to try record the disconnect tone then analyzes it to figure out the required frequency ... using special tools like "cool Edit"., this document attached "FXO port not getting disconnected."may show you how to do this process.

you have to find the accurate frequency to make sure it will work well.

you may see this link also: http://www.3amsystems.com/wireline/tone-search.htm?start=0&kCountry=11&kTone=10

it shows some predefied disconnect frequancy..

and as a final solution, if you have access or contact to some cisco employee they have powerful tool that analyzes  the frequency you may consult them.

if you want to send the file to cisco, I can tell you how to capture it .

best luck

Hi,

Couple of times i have faced with similar problem.

In my cases, only workaround was install hardware busy tone detectors.

So i was not able to solve it with command like dualtone disconnect and etc...

Hope it helps...
