Hi everybody,
I am a newbie in telephony, here is a question
Situation: Telco --- FXO --- CME --- IP phone
by following the guide in cisco,
connection plar opx 1001
The IP phone with DN 1001 rings, that works correctly
-----------------------------------------------------
I thought the "connection plar opx" is similar to "destination-pattern"
then I tried to configure
connectin plar opx 100.
and then try to call 1001 or 1002, both results are failed
Do I make any mistake here?
Thanks in advacne
Sam

Configuring Call-Coverage Features
There's no way you can reach both phones as you don't have 2 DIDs, you have ONE number as it's an FXO.
Either you configure one of the options from the link above, or you'll need a BACD to then dial the DN and reach them directly, OR, get another FXO.
You get only ONE number assigned to the FXO, then you map it to ONE internal DN who will be reached when calls to that FXO arrive.

Unsure what you are trying to achieve, please attach your configuration.
also try this example config:

Thanks for the reply, but it seems a T1 setting.

No, connection PLAR is not similar to destination pattern, thats the DN that will be reached when a call comes into that FXO. If theres no 100 DN, of course it will fail.
If you want to rach both phones, there are plenty of options, but thats not one.

I thought the
"connection plar opx 100." should reach 1000 - 1009.
What do you mean by plenty of options, if I want to reach both phones on one FXO port and in different DID?
Thanks in advance
