FXO disconnect issue - off hook

Hello,

Opening new thread after following the guidelines given to this thread https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony/fxo-disconnect-problem/m-p/3331070#M357721 followed almost all recommendations given here but its still not working reliable. Below config works only a couple of days/weeks! Port goes again off-hook.

Have tried two different configs so far as below: a and b

a)
!
voice class custom-cptone MYTONE
 dualtone disconnect
  frequency 425
  cadence 350 350
!
voice-port 0/2/1
 trunk-group FXO
 supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call
 supervisory custom-cptone MYTONE
 connection plar opx 445
 description FXO Group
 caller-id enable
!

b)
!
voice class custom-cptone MYTONE
 dualtone disconnect
  frequency 425
  cadence 375 375
!
voice-port 0/2/1
 trunk-group FXO
 supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call
 supervisory custom-cptone MYTONE
 timeouts call-disconnect 3
 timeouts wait-release 3
 connection plar opx 445
 description FXO Group
 caller-id enable
!

Any additonal config I can try to make this work?

Which country is this in ? Is your Telco using a tone based supervisory disconnect ?

Hi Nipun,

Not sure but from debug messages, I've seen the server on the telco side is Alcatel-Lucent-HPSS/3.0.3. Based on what others suggested on forum, this requires frequency to be set at 425 and cadence set to 375. Maybe ask them directly about these two parameters?

There was also this website that showed the frequency based on country but that didn't help as it wasn't listed in there. https://www.3amsystems.com/

Thanks!

R.

the frequency and cadence params will only matter if a tone based disconnect is being used.
Can you collect a pcm from the FXO port ?

Configure the below commands and do a test call only so I can get those parameters?
Inbound or outbound call for the test?

#voice pcm capture buffer 200000
#voice pcm capture destination flash:pcmtest.dat ——————–# name of the pcm capture file

#test voice port 0/2/3 pcm cap log7 ————————- # start capture on the port till the call is active

Once finished remove the commands :

#no voice pcm capture buffer 200000
#no voice pcm capture destination flash:pcmtest.dat

Is that all needed?
Then do the analysis of the captured file.

Commands are correct.
it can be a inbound or a outbound call does not matter. Disconnect the call on the pstn phone and not the ip phone. After the call has been disconnected, let the pcm run for 10 seconds or so before stopping the capture.
