Hello.
I'm looking for solution to setting up RTMT custom monitoring for FXO port used on 911 POTS lines?
I looked at it and there looked to be 2 types ways to check an FXO port.
One was the port status and I think your outputs were 0, 1, or 2.
The other I think was specific to registrations. I’m sure one of those would work.
I'm not sure how to do that.
Could somebody help me with that.

Hi,
I am assuming that you are registering MGCP gateway to CUCM. This is the only way to monitor the ports from RTMT. Else, you can't.
Also, I don't think you can monitor FXO status as MGCP gateway. You can monitor port status if you register FXO device using MGCP.
However, you can monitor the number of active FXO ports on MGCP gateway and send an alert in case the number of active ports reduce (indicating that a port is down).
If you want to monitor specific port, then you need to use SNMP on the gateway and use you NMS to send alerts.
To monitor the number of active FXO ports on mgcp gateway.
1. navigate to system > performance > open performance monitoring
2. Expand your cucm node > expand cisco mgcp gateways > double click on FXOPortsActive
3. Right-Click on the counter window and select configure alerts
You need to make sure that SMTP server configure in CUCM from OS Administration
