Hello,
wondering if there is way in callmanager or in IOS gateways that could generate an email whenever a specific DN is called. the email would just need to contain a timestamp of the call and the calling party number.

Check if a SIP call can be sent to a third party server and the third party server can send an email... then thats cool !!
Just a second thought....

Most 3rd part CDR applications provide this capability. I had a client once that would have an email go out to a distribution list every time 911 was dialed with the call details.
Another possibility would be writing your own script (if familiar with IOS scripts) to generate an email when # dialed.....router would need to have email configured and you may need to run a constant debug.....
