Guest/temp workplace with a PC and a cisco phone

Hi!

Maybe that was discussed before but I failed to find anything similar to our task. Anyway, we have several guest/temp workplaces equipped with PCs and a cisco phones so different people can come and log into the PC, Cisco ISE would assign some ACL to their port and they'd get access to wherever they're allowed to. No problems with the PCs and network access. But we also would like to make the phone load person's profile from CUCM and make the phone personalized so other people could call the person by their number which is in the phonebook. For now it's just "Room #...". and you never know who's calling from that temp workplace.

Is there a way to do that using cisco ISE + CUCM or maybe some makeshift options...?

There are already some 3rd party solutions in which you can login to your PC and log into your phone with EM, maybe that could work for you.

The situation you are describing sounds to me like the exact reason Extension Mobility was invented. If you are not aware of this feature, take a look. If you are aware of Extension Mobility, what is the 'stopper' from using it?

Here is the Cisco documentation on how the feature works and how to set it up:

Feature Configuration Guide for Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Release 11.5(1)

But since that is wordy and somewhat confusing, here is a good step-by-step writeup of how to configure Extension Mobility (it refers to CUCM 10.x, but it all still applies to CUCM 11.x):

Configuring Extension Mobility on CUCM

Let us know if Extension Mobility doesn't work in your situation (and why not) and we will see if we can come up with a different solution.
