If an incoming call via an H323 Gateway is placed on hold after 10 mins or more conversation, the call is "lost", both sides getting white noise. If the call is placed on hold after 9:59 it's fine & can be put on hold again for up to 10 mins before the same problem arises. Obviously this also affects Call Transfer etc. This issue doesn't happen on MGCP gateways. Anyone seen this before ?

What version of callmanager are you using?. If it's 3.1 then,
Cisco CallManager version 3.1 does not have the support for the H225 information message. Tone on Hold (ToH) does not work if you are using Cisco CallManager 3.1 anywhere in the cluster. In this case, Cisco CallManager 3.2 and CallManager 3.3 servers need to set the Tone on Hold option to off, as shown:
In Cisco CallManager 3.2, select False.
In Cisco CallManager 3.3, select Option 1.

Do you have a security device (FW;ASA, PIX etc) in the middle?
CCM -- Sec device --- H323 GW?
I have seen this and 95% of the times this is the scenario and Sec device is the culprit.
