I have a Cisco 7965 IP phone and I want to hard reset it since it is not working properly.
I plug the ethernet cable while pressing the # button. Immediately speaker and mute button flashes for a second and then the 6 phone buttons start to flash. The buttons flash continuously without stopping at all. After about 3 minutes phone button flashing the mute and speaker buttons flash for a second and then again the 6 buttons start flashing over again. Since the 6 buttons doesn't stop flashing, I release the # button then the phone starts downloading the firmware and the Cisco log appears. And then nothing, no settings button work nor anything. If I leave it like this the phone will upgrade again its firmware and it will stack in the Cisco log page again.
Any thoughts?
