Go off hook, press the meet me soft key, dial meet me number. Once the Cong is initiated, other users can dial the number directly and join the conf

+5 to my friend Deji for a spot on explanation! (Happy New Year to you too!)
Hi Mohammed,
Happy New Year! Please refer to the admin guide for CME which talks about Adhoc and Meet me conferencing in detail with example:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmeconf.html#wp1010427
It also contains the configuration steps involved for both.
As for the problem at hand, for Adhoc conferencing, you need to do as follows:
A calls B
B answers the call.
B presses the Conference softkey.
B hears dialtone while A hears MOH.
B needs to dial the extension of C.
C answers the call.
B presses the conference softkey again to join all 3 parties.
You dont need to dial 4040 (the adhoc conference ephone-dn).
HTH.
Regards,
Harmit.

Have you innitiated the meet-me conference first by dialling the meet me number? If the mmet-me conference is not innittiated you cant dial into it.
Is your conference bridge resource registered to the CCME router?
What does the output of "sh sccp" display

thanks for your replay,
by dialing the meet-me number it replays with a fast busy tone,
yes the conference bridge resource registered to the ccme router.

Hi, please read the information below on how to initiate a meet me conf:
Only a conference initiator can initiate a meet-me conference. Meet-me conferencing can only be initiated from an off-hook or seized state. The user has to go off-hook on their IP phones, and then hit the meet-me soft-key. Next the initiator would dial the meet-me conference number to
I think you are dialling the number directly which won't work. You need to press meet me button then dial meet me number

it seems the meet me conference works.
how the ad hoc can be initiated. it replays with moh music when i press the confer soft key.
regards,
thanks

Ad hoc is not initiated as meet me. In ad hoc, the conf initiator just dials other users into the conf. So u start by dialling the first person then add others using the confirm key

Hi sir again,
before i config the hardware conference, it goes well. A call B. B answer the call and click confer button. C can call B and enjoy the conference after B answers and click confer button.
After i config the hardware conference, A call B. B answer the call. When B click the confer button he hears a dial tone to enter digits and A hears a MOH music..
Adhoc doesn`t work even if B click the adhoc extension 4040.
can you inform me how adhoc works with example.
thanks again and happy new year for you.
