Hearing Ringtone Cisco Headset 500 series (562)

We purchased a Cisco 562 wireless headset and are using it with a Cisco 7945 IP phone.  We have tried multiple configuration settings but the user cannot hear the phone ring through the headset if they have stepped away from their desk phone.  Everything else works great.  What setting are we missing?

Do you know if the latest firmware release 12.5(1) SR3 will resolve this issue?

Try Changing the Firmware of the IP Phone & Upgrade it to latest.

I did apply the latest firmware of 12-5-1SR3-74 and this did not correct the problem.  Cisco has confirmed that it is a known bug. Thanks anyways!

Symptom:
Cisco Headset 500 Series does not play an audible tone when incoming call is received on IP Phone device.

This is a known limitation in the Cisco Headset 500 Series, as noted in the following:

Conditions:
Cisco Headset 500 Series paired with IP Phone, which receives incoming call event.

Has anyone been given a work around or any insight to when this will be fixed?  The latest firmware 1.5.1 was supposed to correct the issue according to it's release notes but after applying it the same issue persists.    

 

Once I get the serial numbers from ops we will open TAC cases but figured I'd check the community forum's in the mean time. 

I still have this problem.  Has anyone received anything useful from Cisco about this problem?

Check the firmware on the headset.  Make sure it is 1.5.1

IN CSCvo70826, the latest statement says:

Please try latest headset versiona together with IP phone latest version to see if you still have this issue.
