Hello Guys!!!
I have started to study to get collaboration certification. I only have 3 weeks studying and where I work I found a configuraton that really called my attention, It is about pick-up group and ephone-hunt.
The configuration is the following:
Ephone-hunt 8 peer
pillot 290
list 291,297,292,295,292
preferencie 1
timeout 12,12,12,12,12
no-reg pilot
no-forward locall-calls
Ephone-dn 33 dual-line
number 235
pickup-group 290
label Pedro
name Pedro
call-forward busy 259
call-forwared noan 259 timeout 35
corlist incoming LVL3
ephone 32
mac x.x.x.x
username ANA
button 1:33
I just typed the part of the configuration that I want to understand.
I know that pickup-group is that all the ephone-dn with it will allow to answer the incoming call, but this time I don't know what the administrator did.
I mean the ephone-hunt works fine, because when someone call to the ext 290, this incoming call pass over the ext 291,297,292,295,292; but how is this possible? I mean first the CME look for the ephone-dn 33 and there reads pickup-group 290 and that goes to ephone-hunt 8 peer??
Or how this configuration works?
I hope you guys can help me
Thank you

These commands are what allow calls to 290 to hunt to the indicated extensions:
Ephone-hunt 8 peer
pilot 290
list 291,297,292,295,292
"Pickup-group 290" has no effect on the hunting configuration. The pickup-group command allows phones within a given group to pickup calls presented to other phones in the group. In this case it is a coincidence that both your hunt pilot and pickup group have the same label.

Ok man, I was thinking that.
Ummm this two commands
no-reg pilot
no-forward locall-calls
On the Ephone-hunt 8 peer, what do they do?

no-reg - tells the ephone not to register with a gatekeeper
no forward local-calls - internal calls to the hunt group will only ring the first member and will not be forwarded to subsequent members of the group.
