How do I have CUE on this router?

Michael Durham

I bought a used 2911 router that has UC license on it.  The previous owner never accepted the US license but I have.  I have been working with CME 8.6 for some time now and I know if you need voicemail, you need an AIM or NM CUE module.

Well... I did a very basic config using part of one from my 3945 router just to get it going.  The config has settings for voicemail but I NEVER expected for it to work.

This 2911 router does not have a ISM or SRE module installed.  Yet, when I let a phone go unanswered, it went to voicemail.  You can imagine my surprise!!!

I figured out the default password which is 1234; something that I did not set up.

I have researched the web and cannot find where they added a voicemail solution to CME by default.  So... where is this voicemail service coming from?  It defiantly is CUE.

Below is everything about my 2911 router.

Look at your configuration, where does the VM config points to?

HTH

java

if this helps, please rate

Other than pointing to extension 5000, there is no VM config. There is no running service engine either.
Is a basic VM built into CME 12.0? or one of the license packs this router has?

Man do I feel dumb.

session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:192.168.200.10

!
192.168.200.10 is another test router that does have an AIM card. I was getting VM from the wrong router. Changed to 192.168.201.10 and now no VM.
That is what I get for snagging configs from one router to use on another one. lol
Thanks for your help!
