Hello,

I have a requirement where end user need to be transparent with access code.   End user dial a provided 4 digit ext which need to be translated to a complete PSTN no with access code and finally hit a help desk.

Actual sequence of dialing is *12--> wait for secondary dial tone --> now dial Acess code XXXX--> now dial PSTN no.

we want to hide all this dialing from end user by just dialing some XXXX internal no. rest looking to be done at translation pattern. Issue is that i am not able insert PAUS after *12 to wait for secondary dial tone in Xlation pattern.

I read that ',' comma can be used as paus from CUCM 9.1 but its coming as invalid character.

Need to understand this.

Because that method can ONLY be used for pauses in speed dials, not for TPs or RPs.

Plenty of documentation and examples on the subject on cisco.com
