Hello Chuan,
The configuration is actually really simple.
First thing, make sure you connect the module to the correct phone.
Here you can see the phones that support it.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/ps9748/index.html
For the configuration, let's guess you are using it on a 7975 phone.
conf t
ephone 1
mac-address (mac of the 7975)
type 7975 add-on 1 7916-12 (you can use also 7916-24, the difference is that you allow both pages of the expansion module when using the 7916-24).
After that configuration, you only need to make sure that the phone load is configured under telephony-service for the expansion module, same thing you do when configuring the firmware for one IP phone.
Here you have a link about the type command needed for the expansion modules configuration on CME.

Hi Luirami,
Yes you are right. But is there any way to assign the expansion module button to become speed dial to certain extension rather than assign a DN to the button?
Thanks J

Chuan,
Speed dials are assigned to the first free button on the phone, you cannot tell to which button assign the speed dial.
There is something else you can do as a work around.
You can assign the DN as a monitor DN on one button and this will not assign the DN itself but will give you the option to use it as a speed dial.
Example.
Button 15m5 where 5 is the DN tag number.
Hoe this helps.
Thanks,
Luis Ramirez.
