Hi All

Thanks in advance !!!

Can someone please guide me how to check or find the root  cause of [RTMT-ALERT] NumberOfRegisteredPhonesDropped ?

I can find only the error in RTMT but not the root cause for the same.

Regards

Rohit

This is just an Alert that is triggered when device registration goes below a predefined threshold. You can find the Alert settings at RTMT -> System -> Alert Central -> Voice/Video -> NumberOfRegisteredPhonesDropped. Right Click -> Set Alert/Properties. You can adapt it according to your needs.

To find out what triggered you should review the IP Phone registration status in your cluster, either at CUCM admin GUI or at RTMT -> Voice/Video (Menu) -> Device -> Device Search -> Open Device Search -> Phone and look for Unregistered phones. Please, note here to pinpoint unregistered phones at the CallManager server (according to CallManager Group) that they should be registered; this is because they may appear there as unregistered to all members of the cluster.

in addition to what georgios said, once you have identified the unregistered phones, check the common denominator, if the are on one site, did that site loose connection to cucm, though WAN, if they were on one switch, did the switch drop etc.

I too have been having this issue over the last week or so.  Unfortunately, with each alert that was raised, it was out of operational hours in order to view the RTMT>Device>Device Search>Phone>Unregistered.  Isn't there a logfile somewhere that would indicate what triggered the RTMT alert along with specific details?
