Is It possible the communication between Deskphone 7942-G and Extension Mobility over HTTPS?

This in CUCM 9.1(1)

HTTPS for Cisco Unified IP Phone services

Prior to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 8.0, Cisco Unified IP Phones and Cisco Unified IP Phone Services did not support HTTPS communication and communicated using "clear text" over port 8080.

For Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 8.0, Cisco Unified IP Phones and Cisco Unified IP Phone Services support HTTPS, encryption, and secure identification of the server using port 8443.

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Manager Assistant (IPMA)
  • Cisco Unified IP Phone Services
  • Personal Directory
  • Change Credentials

Cisco Unified IP Phone services settings

To support HTTPS in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 8.0(1), the Phone Configuration Settings include the secure URL parameters shown in the following table.

To configure the secure URL parameters, choose Device > Device Settings > Phone Services from Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration. For more information, see the " Cisco Unified IP Phone Services Configuration" chapter in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration Guide

Hope you have updated the subscriptions after changing the URL. If still you are not able to login, share the error that you are receiving while login in. Also collect the Phone console logs.
