Hunt group logout not appearing on CIPC (Softphone) on button layout

i have registered a cipc (softphone) with an extension number, and added hunt group logout on the button items.

i saved the changes ive made, and even reseted the phone -- the hunt group logout is not ther

it definitely works on a physical phone (handset).

does anyone know if im missing something here or maybe it just doesnt work on softphone.

thanks

It shouldn't matter, but did you create a Phone Button Template based on CIPC (with the correct protocol) or use one that was created for another phone? If you did not create one specifically for CIPC-SIP or CIPC-SCCP (depending on your protocol) try that.

Also: Are you using CUCM or CUCME? And what version?

Maren

thanks for your help Maren.

i have tried both protocols using the CIPC phone button template, and still no luck.

im using cucm 11.5

please see below current config in the picture.

thanks.

So I built a SIP and SCCP CIPC in my lab and added nothing other than a primary extension and the phone button template with the hunt group button and both came up fine. So that tells me there is some odd problem in your system we need to identify. How odd!

The only thing unusual about your phone (it seems very straightforward) is that Login service button you have. Is that for Extension Mobility? More importantly, can you remove it temporarily to see if that is interfering with the Hunt Group button?

If so, try moving the login to below the Hunt button to see if the problem reappears.

If not, can you gather the phone log and post it here and we can take a look at it?

Maren

ive got rid of extension mobility and only have hunt group logout which still doesnt appear on the softphone.

i aslo moved the login down below the hunt group logout, so login is assigned to button 3 and hunt group button is now on button 2, and button 2 on the softphone is empty, theres nothing there, as if nothing was assigned to that button. please refer to capture5.PNG

Interesting scenario.
I doubt this feature is available on the IPC. Just wondering if you are running it on the SIP version or SCCP?
More over, I believe Jabber 10.5 onward is available on Windows and Mobile devices.

Just wondering if there is anything specific that makes you use IPC in your environment than Cisco Jabber.
