I am able to access 8841 via browser but cannot change any config

We have setup CME with IP Phone 8841. IOS version is 17.12. 

WebAccess is enabled and we are able to access the webpage of the phone IP. However, the webpage that opens up is just basic info regarding the IP Phone. We are not able to make any configuration changes. I tried to access using the phone-ip/admin to check if we get admin access, but no page loads up. From the phone, i see "Add speed dials from the self care portal".

And that is how it has always been.  The phone's webpage is only "read only" and all configurations required is done on CME/CUCM.

However, if the phone is running 3PCC/MPP firmware, then configuration can be done via the webpage.

Thank you for the info Leo. I was confused because in the phone, it says "Add Speed dial from the self care portal" 

I am just a beginner in this field, so forgive me for my silly doubts.

The Self Care portal is part of CM, not sure if something similar exists in CME. Was many years ago I last got my hands dirty on a CME.
