Impact of disabling I/O Throttling

The upgrade docs say that issuing the command "utils iothrottle disable" can decrease upgrade times. But after the upgrade is complete, you should re-enable I/O throttling.

What are the downsides to having I/O Throttling permanently disabled?

I've done the same question to a TAC engineer and the answer was "reenable it after upgrade to avoid a possible system crash during During high load time"
