Incoming call from PSTN/FXO, 4 ring only and will disconnect with pulse tone

Outgoing Call has no Issue,However if we call our PSTN # connected to FXO port, It will ring 4times only then disconnect then we hear a pulse tone(not a busy tone).

If we answer the call before the 4rings we can talk with no issue.

below are our test configuration, incoming call via fxo will be forwarded to dn 1001

good day my friend :)

please could you upload the debugs using:

debug ccapi inout

debug vpm

debug vtsp

I would like to understand the disconnect cause and from which direction the disconnect is initiated please highlight the start of the call in the output.

Havea great day

hi narinder,

Attactedh the debug file while doing the call from outside.

debug ccapi inout  ( debug not supported )

debug vpm

debug vtsp

btw Im using Cisco 2851 router(cme) v8.6.

basically the issue is incoming call takes 4 ring only then phone says missed call.

from the phone outside hearing different tone but not busy tone.

ah sorry my fault typo  could you try:

debug voip ccapi inout

debug vtsp

debug vpm

thanks

attached the output of debug voip ccapi inout

thankyou could you you run all 3 commands at the same time and re run the test,

also I would like to know are you running ground start or loop start signaling to the PSTN.

please send me full show run output.

Many thanks

I tried ground start but does not fix.

see attached show run

That's a disconnect from us to the Telco -

Interesting enough that the call disconnected with CV=16 but I do not see any cut through. Reproduce the issue with only the following enabled -

debug voip vtsp all
debug vpm signal
debug voip ccapi inout

Run all of them at the same time before making a test call.

hi nipun only a thought but wouldn't a cuthrough require a handset to be lifted , the issue is the call is disconnecting after 4 rings we are not setting up a audio stream.

Correct. A CV=16 is rare to be seen without the call being actually connected and being disconnected prematurely, hence I mentioned that even though the CV=16 is being seen, the call never connects and there is no cut through.

just looking at this the call disconnect looks like a clean teardown,
