Incoming call shows Unknown Number in 7941 IP phone

Hi All,

There are lot of discussions on the forum regarding the "caller ID not displaying" problem.  One of the post suggested to enable "caller-id alerting dsp-pre-allocate" with which i am now able to see the calling party number in the debug vpm signal logs.

My joy short lived when i noted the incoming call still shows UNKNOWN NUMBER in the 7941 ip phone. I need your expert suggestion to crack this issue. Please can someone help me to troubleshoot what is causing the calling ID not showing in the phone when its getting in VG. Thanks !

The issues got fixed

The debug vpm signal shows the ANI received with CC91xxxxxxxxxxD.

With voice translation rule removed CC and ending D. The IP phone now displays the calling number.

rule i used - /^\(CC\)\(............\)\D/ /\2/

Hope some day it might help others....
