Insufficient numbers of licenses

Hello everyone

When I log into our CUCM we receive the following msg ( Picture 1), We have checked CUC ELM and found ( Picture 2, 3 ), why were the licenses expired and on what bases were they installed. Is it trial or something wrong from the beginning

You are over in your licensing as the images suggest.  You are borrowing the needed licensing from upper tier but even then, there are not enough licenses.  Either remove the devices or add more licensing.

Hi,

you have 25 CUWL standard licenses installed which have been loaned to Basic (19)/ Essentia(2) and Enhanced [18] which makes the total count as 39. So, u are running short of 14 licenses .

the same is showing as RED or Insufficient licenses in picture 2 attached snapshot.

Also, CUWL Standard supports Voice mail license by default. Hence, the same is also showing as installed under CUWL Standard messaging [25]

In short, u need to buy either CUWL Standard licenses if messaging in needed  else but buy as "required" as showin in snapshot.

Hi,

the 25 license are probably the be6k/be6s starter bundle.

you have 39 endpoint but how the and point are distributed among the users?

Remeber that the new licensing model is "user-based" and not and "point-based"

Cuwl license can include up to 10 endpoint for user (http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/116231-technote-cucm-08.png)

to let the sistem (CUCM and PLM) know the device ownership you need to configure the "Owner user ID" under in the device configuration

For example:

18 user with a basic phone (7821) + jabber (windows/mac/iphone/ipad/android) (36 endpoint)

1 user with a phone (1 endpoint)

2 fax machine (2 endpoint)

in this scenario are licensed:
18 ENH+ (upper tier CUWL standard)

1 BAS (upper tier CUWL standard)

2 ESS (upper tier CUWL standard)

total 22 CUWL standard license

You must be using Demo licenses.  I've never heard of someone buying a CUCM for only 25 users.  That would be more of a CME deployment.
