IOS upgrade of cisco ISR 4321 from 15.4(3)S4 to 15.5(2)S

We have a Cisco ISR 4321 router  and need to upgrade the IOS to 15.5(2)S.

current IOS image: isr4300-universalk9.03.13.04.S.154-3.S4-ext.SPA.bin" and on cisco site for 15.5(2)S the image available is      

                               isr4300-universalk9.03.15.02.S.155-2.S2-std.SPA.bin , there is change in the later name as ext.SPA.bin  or std.SPA.bin.

Is upgrade possible from the current version to new image isr4300-universalk9.03.15.02.S.155-2.S2-std.SPA.bin or I need to look for ext.spa.bin release of IOS.

Just out of curiosity why are you not going with recommended 3.16 == 15.5.3 version isr4300-universalk9.03.16.05.S.155-3.S5-ext.SPA.bin?
