IP Communicator Latency requirements?

We have a remote office in Hungary with a vpn connection to our data center and we are trying to see if we can get an IP Communicator to work in that location.  The end user in the location sees the phone trying to register and failing repeatedly without success.

However they can ping the call manager in our New York data center without a problem.  I am not sure what the latency/round trip requirements are for IP communicator but if anyone here on the forum can share if they have tried using the IP Communicator in a similar set up, please let me know if it worked for you or not?  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Rgds,

Vicky

Hi

There are the usual requirements for good service, but it should at least register if things are configured correctly:

1) Does the CIPC register if you run it from the US?

2) Can you access the CUCM TFTP server from Hungary?

3) Can you telnet to port 2000 on the primary subscriber from Hungary?

4) Have you configured the correct device name as configured or generated in CIPC on the Hungary PC?
