In terms of licensing, there's no difference between the 7937 & 8831.

In terms of cost, the 8831 is cheaper.

In terms of avavilability, the 7937 is easier to get hold of compared to the 8831 right now. (That should be improving...)

Both will work with CUCM 8.6 - although you may need the latest device pack to be installed, depending on your exact CUCM version, to support the 8831.

(Just for reference, Cisco announced last week that the 7937 goes end of sale March 2014.)

Hi Gabriel,

You can also download the pdf of IP Phone portfolio and check under 8800.

Keep in mind that 7937 has been announced end of sale and end of life, so 8831 is only viable option as even though you can still order 7937, why would you buy more expansive phone that is being killed.

HTH,

Chris

Thanks for help guys.
