Hi folks,

Please guide me... in IPT environment am deploying MOH on CUCM 11.5. Am having Cisco 7841 model. Followed steps to configure from URL: "https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/133211/configuring-custom-media-files-music-hold" but not working.

Steps carried:

1. file upload in ulaw/alaw 8kHz, 64bit mono and stereo. PCM 16bit signed 8kHz 128kbps mono and stereo codec formats on Pub n Sub.

2. created music on hold audio source. defined name and assigned audio file name on Subscriber.

3. Reset MOH server.

Can someone suggest.

thanks & regards,

Ritesh Desai.

1- Make sure the MOH server is present in  the MRG which is further being used in MRGL.

2- Check the region relationship between the region of phone and MOH server.

3- Upload the MOH audio on source on all the nodes.

Tone on hold is due to below reasons

- Mismatch or no region relationship between the codec configuration used by the MoH server and the region in which the endpoint is registered

- If location-based connection admission control is being used and there is no bandwidth available

- If there are no audio streams available

Music on hold takes effect when phone A is talking to phone B, and phone A places phone B on hold. If Music On Hold (MOH) resource is available, phone B listens to music that is streamed from a music on hold server.

Check these and see if it resolves the issue or not.
