IP phone 7911 not coming after a factory reset

Hi All,

I have an serious issue here, Cisco 7911 IP phone is not coming up after I performed a factory reset. I have SCCP11.8-5-2S load available in the CUCM TFTP 8.5.1 and this load is working fine with all other phones in my cluster. When I tried performing FR, the phone screen shows upgrade as attached in the picuture but never completes.

My observation: I went to connected switch and put the command show cdp entry SEP0022905C2DD7, it showed the phone has no IP got and the load file.

Kindly let me know how to make phone back to normal working condition? Your help is much required and appreciated.

You could try Wiresharking the phone to see what's going on. With firmware update problems, it's often the only way to diagnose what's really going on. GTG

For this upgrade to successfully pass on you have to implement correct DHCP, TFTP environment so that phone can upgrade itself as it should...one other way is that you upgrade it with your local PC using this method:

After that you should just connect phone to network and it will work like others...

That almost looks like the phone isn't getting an IP address. GTG

Yes. But an another new 7911 phone gets IP address and works good when connected to the same port.

Looks like the issue is specific to that phone.

Please advise further.

Thank you man. It's wok perfectly.

Thank you very much.
In my case the screen was blank after a factory reset and with this tutrorial I retrieved the phone.
I upgraded to version 8.2.1 later to 8.5.2 and thereafter callmanager upgraded to 9.4.1sr1.
