IP phone cross mark on DN lines.

Siddharam M

Hi ,

I am facing an strange issue.

I have configured 7960 as SIP phone in my network and every phone has total 6 DN configured on it .Recently few ip phones in the network started showing cross mark on 2-3 DN line automatically and i will not be able to make any calls from that line during the time of issue.

This happens on random phones and once after i reboot the ip phone cross mark goes off and phones starts working normally. This issue happens randomly on different phones.

Also if i reboot the  PC which is directly connected to IP Phone , the phone will go into "configuring IP" mode automatically and comes up normally.

Is it the proper behaviour.

Any help will be appriciated. i am also attaching the logs.

Thanks in advance,

Siddu

Hi Sid

Checking your Logs, looks like this Phone is registered with CME. Correct? Please share the CME Configuration and highlight the Trouble Ephone.

Hi Basant ,

IP Phones are registering to third party SIP Proxy server not to CME.

And i got below error logs from the ip phone , is there any issue with the IP Phone software or hardware .

I see a  number of "Registration Timer Expire" messages after every 5 minutes or so:-

Try increasing the Registration Timer for these D's on your 3rd party SIP proxy. In CME if manage these timers using this command:-

registrar server expires max 1200 min 300
