Test calls between site A and site B affirm users' complaints and phone statistics at site B show intermittent massive Rcvr Lost Packets count incrementing. MPLS network in-between both sites. I've validated DSCP=EF for voice stream packets received at site B. Site A "show policy-map int" shows PQ is not dropping any packets, and looking at site B's MPLS PE priority queue, I don't see any drops there.
So I am setting IP SLAs on both CE WAN routers to see if perhpaps the provider may be dropping (voice) packets in their cloud.
On router A, I have config:
ip sla 30
udp-jitter 10.10.252.30 16390
tos 46
verify-data
ip sla schedule 30 life forever start-time now ip sla 30
udp-jitter 10.10.252.30 16390
tos 46
verify-data
ip sla schedule 30 life forever start-time now
On router B, I have the config:
ip sla responder
My question(s) - "show ip sla statis shows: My questions are
1) the operation id of 30 (which is my SLA #) do not show any RTT information
2) Do I assume that operation number 126489, 126490, 126491 are just sequential re-iterations of "operation id 30"?
It seems my jitter is all-over the place and my thougt is now that the phone at site B is discarding packets due to excessive latency BETWEEN packets which the phone's jitter buffer cannot compensate.. Anyway, below is my SLA statis output.....can someone verify my questions 1 and 2 above please?
THANKS!
