I'm running CME 4.1 on a 2901 and have a Dell laptop running RedHat 5.7. I don't believe that Cisco has released a version of the IP Softphone software that is comptaible with Linux. My question is there a release that is compatible with Linux or another vendor solution that is compatible with CME and Linux?

Hi Shane,
You can use x-lite (softphone) with linux (search engine = x-lite with linux)
Here's a cool blog on the "how-to with CME" from great netpro Bill Bell;
Cheers!
