Is it possible to record a call to a IP Phone 7940 in a Cisco Unified Communication Manager 11.5 installation?

Hi,

 

We have Cisco 7940 phones, we want to see if we can record call to a one of these device.

 

We have Cisco Unified Communication Manager System version 11.5 installed and in the 7940 phone configuration page we can see the Built In Bridge but we couldn't find the Recording Profile of the phone anywhere in the configuration.

 

Is there any other option that we can use this with Cisco Unified Communication Manager System version 11.5 and to record the calls? or is there any document saying that it is not possible to record calls using this phone.

7940 is EOL and EOS, which means, that any problem that you might encounter that relates to FW, any new features you might want, etc. won't be addressed by Cisco. Simply, because the BU does not test EOL/EOS products, and therefore, fall under NOT supported

Also the below DOC lists supported endpoints for recording/Silent monitoring, 7940 is not listed as supported there.
