ISDN OOB DTMF CUCM

Hello,

Has anyone or can anyone point me to links regarding Out of Band DTMF?

Our current setup is:

ISDN -> Voice Gateway -> H323 -> CUCM

The goal is when customers calling in via ISDN enter digits, the DTMF must be transparent from our CUCM and the agent.

Help.

Thanks

What do you mean by Transparent? Like We should not see it if do a packet capture or Logs? Do you mean encrypted?

Setup Secure H323 Connection between CUCM and VG so that DTMF are Encrypted OR Use Inband DTMF method.

Thanks for the reply.

I need the DTMF tone to be silent. I read OOB DTMF may be the solution.

No need to secure the packet or logs or encrypting connection between VG and CUCM.

Let me know if you have suggested links?

I found some but they are SIP trunks. Right now, we have PRI to VG H323 to CUCM

Thanks

As I understand you want DTMF Tone not to be played on a call if the user presses any digit while the call is connected.

I am not aware of any way to suppress DTMF, We can try to make sure DTMF Negotiations fails which will invoke MTP you have to make sure MTP Allocation also fails.

But if DTMF Negotiations fail you cannot browse any IVR Menus. Why do you want to suppress DTMF? can you explain the reason behind it ?
