isdn preference outgoing calls

Hello friends,

i have a client that has 3 isdn BRI lines.

my client wants to make sure that for outgoing calls one of these lines is chosen first.this coz of interesting monthly reduction fee from service provider.

how can i ensure a particular isdn line preference get the highest priority?

what syntax should i employ on the line.

You can do this by adding the "preference" commands to the pots dial-peers.  I.E.:

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern ....

direct-inward-dial

port 0/1/0:23

dial-peer voice 2 pots

preference 1

destination-pattern ....

direct-inward-dial

port 0/1/1:23

Not specifing any preference is given a default value of 0 (which is the highest).  Since dial-peer 2 is now assigned a preference of 1, it will be chosen after dial-peer 1.
