ISDN TO SIP

Hello All,

We have H323 Gateway which is used by ISDN lines and SIP trunk by SIP lines. We are planning to move ISDN lines to SIP. So the provider wants us to update the changes from CUCM end. We are planning to change the priority of Route group to SIP trunk so the calls can be diverted through SIP trunk. Please provide the suggestions that if we need to update any other settings as well.

So you have a gateway that is setup with two control protocols, H.323 to handle calls coming from and to your ISDN circuits and SIP to handle calls coming from and to your SIP circuit, all this is then also setup in CM as two entries, one H.323 gateway and one SIP trunk. Am I right in that understanding? If so then you should not need to do more than what you outlined, given that both of these connections are operational today.
