It it possible to activate the speaker by pressing 9

Hi

Are there any setting available in either the phone settings on a 7841 or within CUCM 10.5 to activate the speaker so hearing a dial tone when pressing 9 with the handset untouched?

It's a nice feature to dial a number and hear the call start through the speaker.

Hi Nev,

If you are looking at a feature where you press 9 while the phone is on-hook and want to listen a dial tone with the phone automatically switching to speakerphone then as per my understanding this option is not available natively on CUCM. You may be able to achieve this via scripting or third party apps though.

Yes that is exactly what is required.  How do I locate third party apps, i've done some searching and not found much.

I don't believe that is possible in any way, if you press 9 on-hook, that doesn't trigger any script, that's just the phone receiving a DTMF. You're basically asking to change the way the phone firmware was designed to work.
