IVR disconnects when EPNM does not equal DN of IP phone.

I have come across an isolated incident regarding a phone DN and the phone's External Phone Number Mask, but only when calling the City of Miami Gardens at (305) 622-8000. When attempting to transfer under these conditions, the call will disconnect. However, if the DN and EPNM do match, the transfer will go through. And this is only occurring on one of the clusters in the IP telephony enterprise. Has anyone else run across something like this? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Can you please detail the scenario?

Scenario: Cisco IP phone

  • assign DN to phone with device pool, CSS, etc.
  • leave external phone number mask blank
  • call 3056228000, wait for prompt, press option 4
  • call is transferred
  • populate EPNM with same number as DN
  • call 3056228000, wait for prompt, press option 4
  • call is transferred
  • populate EPNM with number different than DN
  • call 3056228000, wait for prompt, press option 4
  • call is dropped
  • attempt all scenarios with person-to-person transfer, same result

No other phones in the enterprise have this issue. Only calls originating from this one CM have this issue, including IP Communicator.
