Jabber on Android - Issue with the phone book Seperated by spaces

Hello Cisco Community :

This is the first time i face this issue for me "might not be an issue" but when trying to contact a number from phone book using cisco jabber for android it fails with the following behavior :

For Example want to call a Phone number saved personally on my phone lets say named "Nash" with phone number as "3033000" Andorid Phones as Iphone i think "not sure about iphone" but the number will be saved separated by spaces "3 033 000"

when i do a recall for this number using jabber on my smart phone it recalls the number with the spaces, i just added 9 before the number so i can make the call.

hence the number would be "93 033 000" when calling this number, it gives me the annunciation "your call can't be completed as dialed .... "

when manually deleting the spaces "93033000" the call works fine.

Is this an issue with jabber that don't delete spaces, or is there a parameter in CUCM that will remove the spaces and wont identify them as characters in the dialing request.

Thanks,

Nash

Can you try to call directly without edit? I know in J4W call and call-with-edit will strip spaces but not sure about Andriod.

Configure translation-pattern to match calls from your jabber, prefix 9 then send the call to route-pattern (globalization). Then try dialing directly without edit and adding 9

J4W works fine, but unfortunately this is not the case for android.

can you give me the Translation Pattern for the example mentioned by me as no idea how translation pattern will check the spaces - and i will do the globalization.

much appreciated.

Create a PT named J4A_PT and assign it to a CSS named J4A_CSS.

Have this CSS assigned to your BOTxxxx jabber clients

Create a translation pattern to match X! and assign it to J4A_PT

Give this translation pattern CSS which is used by default in your environment to access everything else as you want.

In the translation pattern prefix 9. This will make the call routable through your dialplan.
