Lamp on

Hi

We have call center with Cisco IP phones connected to the PC. Some of the PCs are half duplex and cause problem on network. Is there way to enable lamp on certain phones via CCM so that technican can go to the PCs attached to the Phones and change the network card setting?

Sure, there is, just do the following:

Use "show cdp neighbors" to look up the device names of the phones you want to correct (usually starts with SEP).

Next, associated a user-id with those phones.

Now log in to the ccmuser page (http://IPofyourCallManager/ccmuser) using that user-ID

Now simply switch the message waiting indicator

The MWI indicator should be on.

This method requires that you have MWI configured. There is only one but that you should be aware of, which is if the phone in question would have the message waiting indicator o because of an unread voicemail this message would turn it off.
