License for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition

I would like to purchase Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition.

What is include for this Business Edition?

I will use 70 ip phone, each phone will have a voice mail box.

So any extra license (seat or device license) should I purchase?

Also, what is the difference between seat license & device license?

Hi

CUCM6-BE has:

- base package includes 7828 server

- software

- first 50 seats, Each seat includes a CUCM user and a VM box. These are permanent licenses.

- 50 DLUs pre-populated for initial installation and configuration, The 50 device licenses are not cumulative. They will be removed from the system when you purchase device licenses and upload on the system.

for your 70 IP Phones, assume they are 7940, then you need to purchase the base package (which includes 50 seats), then you need to order qty 2 of the 10 seat add-on license to build out the 70 users. You then need to purchase phones and device licenses (4DLUs per 7940 x 70 = 280DLUs).

hope this also clarifies differences between seat lic and device lic.
