Hello There,
I tried to go through some documents to understand how the licenses from 8.6 to 9.1.2 are calculated but to be honest with you found no answer for my question. Attached are 2 reports from 8.6 and 9.1. As you can see in 8.6 we had 1500 licenses from which 1294 were used and 206 remaining. After converting to 9.1, the report shows only 139 Enhanced. Could someone please explain in a easy way how the liceses from 8.6 to 9.1 are calculated? How we came from 1500 licenses in 8.6 to 139 in 9.1.2. Please note that we are using only 7942
Thanks,
MK

Hi,
I recommend you to contact Cisco TAC or Cisco PDI and they will assist you in that matter. They will guide you on how your current licensing will be converted to 9.x or later.
It will be helpful to have the output of the LCU and UCSS contracts as well.
Regards,
- Adrian.

Hi mightyking,
When migrating licenses from versions earlier to 9.x, you get a rate of:
1 CUWL Professional = 12 DLU
1 CUWL Standard = 11 DLU
1 Enhanced Plus = 9 DLU
1 Enhanced = 6 DLU
1 Basic = 4 DLU
1 Telepresence Room = 11 DLU
Check this link for further help (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/116231-technote-cucm-00.html#anc11).

Hi Filipe,
As you can see in the above attached document, we had 1500 DLUs with 8.6 version. After upgrading to 9.1.2 the report shows only 139 (Enhanced). If Enhanced license takes 6 DLUs then we have to have 1500 / 6 = 250 Enchanced. Why the 9.1 license report shows 139? I know 139 is the number of devices that we are using but where can I see how many licenses are available for the future provisioning. I am expecting to see 250 - 139 = 111 available Enhanced Licenses.
Thanks,
MK
