Line group Broadcast Issue after phone reset

We are facing a line group broadcast issue.

The line group is set up as Broadcast in distribution algorithm so once a call comes and if it is put on hold it will be shown on all the phones associated with the line groups.

But that feature is not working at all.

There was some issue with the handsets hence we did a factory reset of the handsets and just after that this stopped working.

It will be very helpful if you can suggest what need to be done for this to get resolved.

A factory reset should not affeect the operation of this feature, unless you have problems with your network config/TFTP server access etc. Have you verified the phones have correctly downloaded firmware?

Phones have updated the firmware to the device default firmware load ID as mentioned in CCM. We checked the switch config as well and it seems to be configured correctly.

Can you explain more on verifying where the phones have correctly downloaded firmware. Do I need to erase ITL file and try to check if it is downloading latest firmware.

Any suggestion on this issue?

You can browse to the phones to see the firmware version, and you can also see the status messages there to verify whether there are ITL-related errors.

Have you verified that the 'Logged Into Hunt Group' is checked on the phone config page in CUCM?

I have checked the firmware version and it is showing the default firmware configured in cucm.

In status messgae I am not seeing any error related to ITL. It is saying "ITL installed".

I have verified the Logged into hunt group option as well and it is already checked.

I tried to uncheck that option reset the phone once then again check the option and reset the phone once again. Still no luck.

Only issue is bothering me why after factory reset this feature stopped working..

Getting no idea why it stopped working after the factory reset as there are no change of configuration any where..

Should I delete the phones and re-add them once again?

What do you hear when you dial the group? If you set a ring-no-answer or hunt-timeout divert, do they take effect?

If you change the hunt algorithm, does it work?

If you add a new line group/hunt list/pilot does it work?

From the Cisco Document i am finding this-

Broadcast Hunting—When a call arrives at the pilot point, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Attendant Console answers the call, places the call on hold, adds the call to the queue, and displays the call in the Broadcast Calls window on attendant PCs. While on hold, the caller receives music on hold, if it is configured. Any attendant can answer the call from the Broadcast Calls window.

So does it means if we put the call on hold it will show to other phones in the same line group as well.

is there anything on the physical Phone setting itself that can allow doing this broadcast when call is put on hold?

As I have done a factory reset so might be that settings got erased hence the issue..

Hi

Your previous post with the Cisco doc - this is for Attendant Console hunt groups, they do not apply to your version of CUCM, unless you are v6 or earlier and using the 'attendant console' application.

I'll say it again, there are no settings on the physical phone itself... move on...

I wouldn't worry overly about the factory reset. There's no local configuration on the phone, everything is downloaded from CUCM and controlled by CUCM.

If they have the correct firmware, and are registered the reset is fine.

Try resetting the hunt list.
