Hello, I have a query about Local Transcoding Interface on an ISR 4431 CUBE running IOS 15.5(3)sb4.
If LTI is configured is it used for converting between g711alaw and g711ulaw in preference to any CUCM based MTP resources that may be allocated to the trunk?
I know that if the CUBE needed to transcode the LTI resources would be used in preference to SCCP based resources but not sure if this applies to MTP?
Also if all LTI resources are consumed can the CUBE use SCCP resources or would calls just fail?

So I do this only about once a month.
I will see if it's possible to make an flashable zip for https://audacity.onl/ https://findmyiphone.onl/ https://origin.onl/

Um - were you responding to my post? - not sure what those links you posted mean.

As far as I know you can't have MTP resources with LTI, Only transcoders

Thanks for responding.
You are correct that LTI is only for transcoding. My requirement is to convert from G711alaw to G711ulaw which can be done by either an MTP or a transcoder.
What I would like to know is whether the LTI transcoder would be preferred over an MTP controlled by SCCP for this purpose.

I would prefer all this to be local to the CUBE, it makes configuration simpler (no device pools / regions / resource groups etc)
Having said that, the MTP's I configure are SCCP controlled only because it would consume (expensive) DSP resources if I would use transcoders only for u-law to a-law conversion and vice versa
My two cents
